Discover Sardinia by motorbike in the easiest way! MotorBikeRideSardinia was created to satisfy the desire to discover and experience Sardinia for the two wheels lovers. From bikers to bikers, we thought of the service that we would have liked to have before making Sardinia our home.
Having an available weekend and losing a lot of it to go and return means giving up wonderful roads and views, as well as facing expenses and transfer times that have little to do with the taste of a holiday.
We thought that leaving by plane from your city to reach Olbia, maybe after finishing your business hours on Friday, would allow you to take one of our bikes the same day. On Friday evening you can stay in Olbia or nearby and then go on an adventure and discover an amazing island, rich in history, where unique views and urban areas of the hinterland where time seems to have stopped, are easily accessible but especially with roads that seem designed by those like us, has the two-wheeler craze. Almost always excellent road surfaces, and curves that invite relaxed but tasty driving for those who love mixed routes, in short, there is everything to offer to motorcycle enthusiasts for absolute pleasure. We were the only ones missing, and with a partner of excellence as Suzuki we were able to achieve what we had in mind, namely, to offer a tourist service specifically dedicated to those with our passion. MotorBikeRideSardinia was born with this goal, to offer a service that allows you not to waste time on unnecessary and expensive transfers by sea with your motorbike, to offer detailed information about everything you can discover on this wonderful island, from the streets to the cities, from people to culture, from food to wonderful rewards for the view whether you look at the sea or at the mysterious and fascinating inland.
We have chosen four different models of the Suzuki range, the V-Strom 800DE, the V-Strom 1050DE, the GSX-8S, and the GSX-S1000GX.
Four bikes for four different ways of interpreting the road, but the most versatile V-Strom 800DE allows you to go anywhere in safety and ease including small dirt roads where its 21" front ensures good handling even on off-road surfaces, a feature that does not affect driving on the road, on the contrary, as described by more specialized media is a true all-rounder with a gritty engine and the ability to manage it for every situation thanks to the selectable mappings.
The V-Strom 1050DE is a handyman lady, more imposing, the most powerful road bike of the 800, and is certainly suitable for those who want to travel in pairs being able to count on more comfort. It also has a 21" front that offers driveability on every ground and great safety and control even on the road, despite its 107 HP and 100 NM at 6,000 rpm/min.
Another model we have chosen for our passionate customers is the GSX-8S, a bike that shares with the 800 DE the two-cylinder engine in the latest generation of 800 cc, capable of delivering 83 hp with a maximum torque of 78 NM at 6,800 rev/min. and a weight in running order of 202 kg. Yes a naked easy to drive, but with all you need to make it expresses that grit that brings with it the latest generation engine and a bike designed for beginners and for those who love to open the throttle by banking along the way. Thanks to sophisticated and effective electronics, also in this case you can manage different modes that make the neophyte everything very simple and above all safe, to the most skilled, more enjoyable, and manageable in total autonomy. A small great bike, agile, light, fast, and snappy.
We know the bikers very well having been it ourselves for over 40 years, we know that if in our garage there is a high-powered enduro road for example, although we treat it as a queen, we are also attracted to something else, maybe something that takes us back to the past, or that simply intrigues us. We were intrigued by the new GSX-S1000GX as soon as we saw it and although we had initially thought of another model to be included in the range of our offers, at last, we changed and chose this one. We only have some at the moment, but if our curiosity will not remain only our curiosity, for the future we already think of taking more of them. The GSX-S1000GX is not a bike for everyone, it requires a bit of experience to be driven at its best and especially to allow it to express its great qualities entrusted to a sophisticated and very effective cycling, able to manage in an excellent way the 152 HP that the powerful four cylinders in line can deliver. The configuration is the same as the crossover, that is to say, the vehicle is capable of comfortably facing even long and winding paths, where mixed narrow routes take turns with more comfortable roads where you can push more. It’s a bike that despite displacement and equipment has a total weight of 232 kg which allows it to be agile, and fast in the inputs and outputs from the even more challenging banks, made even more tasty by a torque that you can feel from low RPM with force giving an extraordinary driving pleasure.
